The Army Commander of the South Western Command, Lt General Dhiraj Seth today made an interesting presentation comparing the battlefield with a business world. He said in both the situations, there is a ‘VUCA’ Environment: Volatility, Uncertainty, Complexity and Ambiguity. He was making a power point presentation on the occasion of 25th Silver Jubilee of Data Infosys, now known as Data Ingenious Global Limited. The topic of the event was ‘Bharat@2047‘.
In a very effective manner, he further compared how ‘STRIKE’ (Strategic Thinking, Resilience, Initiative and Innovation, Know Yourself and Know Your Adversary and Effective Leadership) can be applied both to a battlefield situation as well as in the corporate world. Comparing the business world, for strategic thinking, he gave example of Liberation of Bangladesh; for Resilience, he gave example of Battle of Longewala; for Initiave, he referred to Operation-Siachen Glacier: 1984; for Innovation, he cited the example of ‘Crossing of Meghna River’s and Drone Technology. Finally, for Effective Leadership, he talked about Kargil War of 1999.
Founder, iSpirit Foundation, Sharad Sharma spoke about the Digital Public Infrastructure (DPI) and how DPI revolution is unleashing new opportunities in India. He informed that India has introduced ‘Techno-Legal Regulation’, which focuses on Public Policy (Law and Regulations) and Public Technology (Platforms and Protocols). He also highlighted that world is interested in DPIs as it also wants to avoid digital colonisation.
A panel discussion also took place on the occasion on the topic, ‘Unleashing India’s AI Potential: Building a World Class AI Ecosystem By 2047’. The speakers included Executive Committee Nasscom and Board Member of NSDC, Jagdish Mitra; Founder of FarEye, Gautam Kumar; Founder of Qnulabs, Sunil Gupta. The session was chaired by the former CEO and MD of Tech Mahindra and Founder of AiOps, CP Gurnani. For the first time in India, the project ‘Private GPT and AI Reply’ was launched at the event by Data Ingenious Global Limited.
In his welcome remarks, Managing Director of Data Group of Industries, Ajay Data shed light on the 25-year-long journey of the company as a symbol of innovation, resilience and success. He said that entrepreneurship is not a ‘solo’ act, but a way to build a community and taking everyone along. A presentation was also shown on the growth of the company and how far they have come till now. The event began with a lamp lighting ceremony by Chairman of Data Ingenious Global Limited Babu, Lal Data and Lt General Dhiraj Seth. It was proceeded with a Ganesh Vandana performance.
