Rajasthan, September 13, 2024: The fourth Rajasthan Domestic Travel Mart (RDTM), aimed at promoting domestic and rural tourism, as well as new hotels and destinations, commenced on Friday at the Rajasthan International Centre (RIC). Organized jointly by the Federation of Hospitality and Tourism of Rajasthan (FHTR) and the Rajasthan Tourism Department, the event is supported by the Central Tourism Department. Rajasthan’s Deputy Chief Minister, Diya Kumari, inaugurated the mart. The event was graced by senior officials, including Mr. Ravi Jain, Secretary of Tourism, Art, Literature, Culture, and Archaeology Department; Mr. Rakesh Sharma, Additional Director of the Tourism Department; Mrs. Sushma Arora, MD of RTDC; Mr. Bheem Singh, President Honor of FHTR; Mr. Kuldeep Singh Chandela, President of FHTR; Mr. Surendra Singh Shahpura, Senior Vice President; and Mr. CA Virendra Singh Shekhawat, General Secretary, among other stakeholders from the tourism sector.

To promote tourism, Neeti Kumari Mandawa and Rohini Kumari Mandawa were awarded in memory of Thakur Randhir Vikram Singh Mandawa. Additionally, Sudhir Patil, Dr. Lalit K. Pawar, and Mr. Bheem Singh, President Honor of FHTR, were also honored.

The three-day RDTM, themed around weddings, incentives, conferences, and events, began grandly with the inauguration. Over the next two days, on Saturday and Sunday, more than 200 stalls and over 600 hotels will be showcased at Birla Auditorium. The mart will feature business-to-business (B2B) and business-to-customer (B2C) meetings from 5 PM, allowing the general public to explore hotels and services for their events. The event is expected to attract 1,300 buyers and over 7,000 visitors from across the country. Various travel planners, tour operators, travel agents, hoteliers, event planners, wedding planners, meeting, incentive, conference, and exhibition (MICE) organizers, and tourism stakeholders will participate, showcasing the diverse attractions and facilities of Rajasthan. On September 16, representatives will embark on the Rajasthan FAM tour in collaboration with the Rajasthan Association of Tour Operators (RATO).

The primary goal of RDTM is to attract more tourists from within and outside the state, thereby strengthening the state’s economy. The mart provides tourism stakeholders the opportunity to showcase their products across various sectors, including heritage, adventure, wildlife, pilgrimage, wedding, eco-tourism, and village tourism.

During the inaugural ceremony, Deputy CM Diya Kumari emphasized that with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s strong vision, tourism in Rajasthan will be promoted on the global stage. She highlighted that under the double-engine government, Rajasthan will set new benchmarks globally. Citing the Prime Minister’s efforts, she mentioned that world leaders, including French President Emmanuel Macron, visited Jaipur, and Rajasthan is frequently highlighted in PM’s programs, like ‘Mann Ki Baat’. She announced the upcoming tourism policy and urged all stakeholders in the tourism sector to collaborate for success, seeking suggestions to boost tourism further.

Mr. Ravi Jain stated that Rajasthan’s numerous attractions draw tourists from all over the world, and emphasized the need for collaboration to ensure tourists feel safe and well-served during their visit. Deputy CM also encouraged participation in the Rising Rajasthan Investment Summit scheduled from December 9 to 11.

FHTR President Mr. Kuldeep Singh Chandela noted that FHTR is working hand-in-hand with the Tourism Department to elevate Rajasthan’s tourism. FHTR representatives will promote Rajasthan at the IFTM Top Resa in Paris and conduct roadshows in various countries.

It is noteworthy that the RDTM 2024 is supported by the Hotels and Restaurants Association of Rajasthan (HRAR), Indian Heritage Hotels Association (IHHA), and Rajasthan Association of Tour Operators (RATO).
