UNION MINISTER BHUPENDER YADAV AWARDED DEGREES TO STUDENTS AT THE CONVOCATION

The 6th convocation of Raffles University, Neemrana, was celebrated with gusto and enthusiasm on the university campus. On this occasion, the Union Minister for Environment, Forest and Climate Change, Mr Bhupender Yadav was present as the Chief Guest. On this occasion, he congratulated all the students of the university and wished them a bright future. In his address, he said that today, the students have acquired professional qualifications in various fields from the university, which will not only help in their personal development but will also increase their contribution in the service of the society. Now, when the students step out from here, they will face the real world, where they will face the realities of life. He further said that in today’s digital and social age, a person who strikes a balance between information and intellect achieves success in life. The next step in the life of students is to enhance their emotional intelligence (EI). Learning never ends, and this is the time when they can strengthen their emotional and mental skills.

On this occasion, Mr Yadav also shared his views on environment. He said that the coexistence of living and living beings on earth is very important. Only then will humans be able to make their lifestyle environment-friendly in the coming times. Mr Yadav also stated that when it comes to environmental issues. India is a country that is part of the solution, not part of the problem.

A total of 344 students were awarded PhD, postgraduate and undergraduate degrees at the ceremony celebrating academic achievements. Apart from this, 21 gold medalists from various departments were honoured with medals. These degrees were conferred on students in various fields, including Engineering, Management, Agriculture, Law, Humanities, Pharmacy, and Basic and Applied Sciences, among others.

Judge of the Supreme Court of India, Justice Dipankar Datta and Founder of Emaar, Dubai, His Excellency Mohamed Alabbar were the Guests of Honour at the ceremony. His Excellency Mohamed Alabbar was also honoured with a Doctorate Degree (honoris causa).

The convocation began with the academic procession. Later, the annual report of the university was also presented by the Vice Chancellor of the University, Prof. (Dr.) Rajender Singh Sangwan. On this occasion, Prof. (Dr.) Sangwan said that today is an important moment in the life of the students, which is not only a celebration of their academic achievements, but also a testimony to their perseverance, dedication and intellectual growth. This convocation is not an end but a crucial milestone in the continuous journey of learning, innovation and self-discovery.

The function was presided over by the Chairperson of the University, Mr Vivek Gomber. Dr. The Chairperson of Gomber Education Foundation, Dr. Justice Meena V. Gomber was also present on the occasion. The function concluded with a Vote of Thanks by the Registrar, Prof. (Dr.) K. Karthikeyan.
