Empowering Tomorrow’s Leaders: Investiture Ceremony 2025–26 at The Palace School

The Palace School hosted its Investiture Ceremony for the academic year 2025–26 on July 24, 2025, with pride and a spirit of celebration. The ceremony was graced by Princess Gauravi Kumari. General Secretary of the Princess Diya Kumari Foundation (PDKF), Trustee of the MSMS II Museum Trust and a Board Member of The Palace School. Also present was Ms. Rama Datt, Executive Trustee of the MSMS II Museum Trust and esteemed Board Member, along with Principal Ms. Urvashi Warman.
The event commenced with the recitation of a Sanskrit shloka, setting a serene and reverent tone. This was followed by  impactful addresses from the outgoing Head Girl and Head Boy, who reflected on their leadership journey and extended best wishes to their successors. The newly elected student council was then ceremoniously invested with badges and sashes by the distinguished guests.
In her address, Princess Gauravi Kumari congratulated the new council members and recalled her own time in School, sharing how those formative leadership experiences shaped her journey. She encouraged the students to not only lead with compassion, vision, and accountability, but also to support one another as a team, reminding them that true leadership lies in unity, empathy, and collective strength. Ms. Rama Datt encouraged the students to be their best selves and serve as role models for their juniors, emphasizing that leadership is reflected in one’s daily conduct, humility, and choices.
In her address, Principal Ms. Urvashi Warman offered profound reflections on value-based leadership. She recalled an episode from the Ramayana, where Bharat, upon learning of Lord Ram’s exile, refused the throne and chose to serve as a custodian of the kingdom in Ram’s name. “He chose service over power, and integrity over desire—setting the highest standard of selfless leadership,” she said. She urged the new council to uphold these values and then administered the oath of office, entrusting them with their new responsibilities.
The newly appointed Head Girl, in her address, expressed her deep sense of gratitude and commitment. She pledged to uphold the trust placed in her and her peers and emphasized the council’s shared goal to lead with inclusivity, enthusiasm, and responsibility.
The ceremony concluded with a formal vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to the dignitaries, school leadership, and everyone who contributed to the success of the event—signifying the beginning of a purposeful and inspiring chapter in student leadership.
