Prabha Khaitan Foundation presents Tête-à-Tea with Rasheed Kidwai at ITC Rajputana, Jaipur
Prabha Khaitan Foundation, in association with ITC Rajputana, Jaipur, hosted a session of its initiative Tête-à-Tea with noted political analyst and columnist Rasheed Kidwai on Thursday, 21st August 2025, at ITC Rajputana, Jaipur. The session, themed “Secrets from the Corridors of Power: Shadows, Stories, and Statesmen,” brought alive hidden narratives, untold stories, and fascinating insights from Kidwai’s decades of experience chronicling Indian politics. He threw light on some lesser-known facts and anecdotes from his extensive body of work, keeping the audience deeply engaged.
The evening began with an opening address by Mr. Deependra Rana, General Manager, ITC Rajputana, who welcomed the gathering. The conversation was moderated by Apra Kuchhal, Honorary Convenor, Rajasthan and Central India Affairs, Prabha Khaitan Foundation, who steered the dialogue with a series of thought-provoking and light-hearted questions. In a candid rapid-fire, Kidwai revealed that the most talkative politician he had encountered was Shashi Tharoor, while the leader who kept him waiting the longest was P. Chidambaram. He also spoke about how the nature of political journalism had changed over the years, the quirks of India’s leaders, and how the real stories of politics often lie in its shadows.
The session concluded with an engaging Q&A with the audience, who eagerly participated with their own questions, making the evening both interactive and memorable. A memento was presented to the guest by Pramod Sharma as a token of appreciation.
