MAYO COLLEGE GIRLS’ SCHOOL CELEBRATED ITS 37TH ANNUAL PRIZE GIVING CEREMONY WITH GRANDEUR

Mayo College Girls’ School, Ajmer, one of India’s most prestigious boarding institutions, celebrated its 37th Annual Prize Giving Ceremony recently, with great enthusiasm and splendour, upholding its motto “Let There Be Light” at the School Quadrangle.

One of the major highlights of the celebration was the Equestrian Meet and the MCGS Theatre Production – “Yugandhara”, which showcased the courage and creativity of Indian women through inspiring performances. The Equestrian Meet was graced by Chief Guest MLA from Bolangir, Odisha, Sports Administrator and President of the National Rifle Association of India, Mr. Kalikesh Narayan Singh Deo. The three-day celebration honoured meritorious students for their excellence in academics, leadership, creativity, service, compassion and sports. The prize giving ceremony was graced by Her Highness Radhikaraje Gaekwad, Maharani of Vadodara as the Chief Guest. In her inspiring address, she commended the students for their perseverance and excellence, saying, “True education lies not just in learning facts, but in building character, compassion and courage to serve the world with grace.”

The Mayo girls captivated the audience, guests, and parents with their impressive Horse Riding Display, featuring a range of thrilling events such as Mounted Escort, Flag Hoisting, Standing Salute, Tent Pegging (Single, Double, and Pair), Ring and Peg, Handkerchief and Peg, Show Jumping, Four Bar, Mounted PT, Panchveerang Display (Maypole Drill) and Yard Penalty Shootouts. The prestigious Best House Trophy was awarded to Karunawati House. The grand ceremony reaffirmed Mayo College Girls’ School’s legacy of nurturing young women of intellect, integrity and leadership.

On the occasion, Principal of the school, Ms. Neeti Bhalla Saini, presented the Annual Report and said, “Our annual function is a true reflection of teamwork, creativity and dedication. I sincerely thank all our teachers, guests, and parents for their unwavering support and wish every student a bright and fulfilling future ahead.”
