RIFF Film Club Organises Screening of Mexican Film Arráncame la Vida
Jaipur, RIFF Film Club, in collaboration with the Embassy of Mexico, organised a special screening of the acclaimed Mexican film Arráncame la Vida (2008) at SRNG Auditorium, Jaipur. Based on the celebrated novel by Ángeles Mastretta, the film explores themes of love, family, desire, betrayal and personal growth with depth and sensitivity. The screening witnessed participation from cinema enthusiasts across different age groups, who came together to experience and appreciate the acclaimed Mexican film.
Speaking on the occasion, Somendra Harsh, Founder, RIFF Film Club, said that the objective of the club is not merely to screen films, but to bring diverse and meaningful cinema from around the world to audiences and foster a culture of dialogue and thoughtful discussion through cinema. He added that such screenings are an important step in that direction.
The special screening organised by RIFF Film Club was a meaningful initiative to look at cinema beyond entertainment and recognise it as a powerful medium for dialogue, empathy, cultural understanding and social engagement.
