Jaipur : Jaipur will host the three-day Jaipur Design Festival 2026 for the first time from 16 to 18 November. The Festival was officially announced with the launch of its poster at Jawahar Kala Kendra (JKK) on Sunday. The Festival is being organised by the Jaipur Chapter of the Association of Designers of India (ADI). This was announced by the Festival Director, Meenakshi Singh. Also present on the occasion were members of the Festival’s Advisory Committee, renowned Photographer, Sudhir Kasliwal, and artist Leela Bordia, who is renowned for her work in blue pottery.
Meenakshi Singh further said that JDF, being organised under the theme ‘Rooted in 300 Years, Design for the Next 300’, will provide a platform to understand Jaipur through the lens of design, engage in dialogue and explore new possibilities for the future. The Festival aims not only to celebrate design, but also to examine how design influences the way we learn, live, move, work, preserve heritage and experience the city.
Festival Curator and Creative Director, Ayush Kasliwal said that the three-day Festival will feature design forums, panel discussions, workshops, exhibitions, student engagement programmes, mentorship sessions and cultural programmes. Designers, architects, academicians, industry representatives, students, government representatives and citizens will be brought together on a common platform. Discussions at the Festival will cover a wide range of subjects, from Jaipur’s heritage and crafts to mobility, sustainability, public spaces, education, innovation and the circular economy. Through six key thematic forums, the Festival will explore the opportunities and challenges shaping the future of the city.
It is to be noted that rather than viewing the completion of Jaipur’s 300 years merely as an occasion for celebration, the Festival will initiate a collective dialogue on the direction the city should take over the next 300 years.
