– TEAM INDIA WINS THE SHIELD BY DEFEATING SOUTH AFRICA BY A SCORE OF 7-5
Jaipur, 15 February. Under Jaipur Polo Season 2025, a high-profile international polo match ‘HH Rajmata Padmini Devi of Jaipur International Shield & IPA International Day’ was played on Saturday at the Rajasthan Polo Club Ground. The match was played between India and South Africa, in which India won the shield by beating South Africa with a score of 7-5. Anita Tongya from Diacolor India Pvt. Ltd. and Honorary Secretary of the Indian Polo Association (IPA) and Commandant of 61 Cavalry, Colonel VS Kahlon, VSM were present on the occasion. They presented the shield to the winning team.
Shamsheer Ali scored 3 goals and Simran Shergill scored 2 goals for the team India. Maharaja Sawai Padmanabh Singh and Abhimanyu Pathak scored 1 goal each for the team. Similarly, Tysen O’Sullivan scored 3 goals from the South African team. Players Johann du Preez and Ulrich Spies scored 1 goal each for the team. Duncan Lowe also played for the team.
