
The second meeting of Season 3 of the Jaipur Intellectual Group (JIG) was held today, bringing together leading thinkers and professionals for an engaging discussion on the topic, “Race to Dominate the AI Era – Who Will Be the Winners and Losers?” The session commenced with a warm welcome address by Mr. Abhishek Mishra, host of the program, who highlighted the objectives and vibrant spirit of JIG. He introduced the theme of the session and set the stage for an enriching exchange of ideas.
The guest speaker, Mr. Ravish Gupta, delivered a comprehensive overview of the global artificial intelligence landscape. He detailed the strategic approaches adopted by powerhouses like the USA, China, and Europe in the AI race and emphasized the need for developing nations to define their unique positions in this evolving domain. JIG’s own member Ms. Kamla Poddar, offered a detailed perspective on the transformative impact of AI across various sectors. She underscored the role of AI as a key factor in global competitiveness and outlined which areas stand to gain or lose from its rapid advancement.
Adding further depth to the discussion, Shri Deepak Bhargav, Director of the Rajasthan Police Intelligence Training Academy (ITA) and a senior IPS officer, elaborated on the integration of AI in the security sector. He illustrated how AI is revolutionizing crime control, cybersecurity, and intelligence operations, reinforcing national and digital security. A thought-provoking Q&A and suggestion session followed, where each JIG member contributed insightful questions and recommendations. The open dialogue fostered a deeper collective understanding of the far-reaching implications of AI.
