3 ALUMNI ARMY OFFICERS CONFERRED WITH PVSM

Jaipur, Wednesday was a day of immense pride for Jaipur based St. Xavier’s School, when three of its alumni, senior officers in the Indian Army, were conferred with the prestigious Param Vishisht Seva Medal (PVSM). The honour was bestowed by Her Excellency, the President of India, Smt. Droupadi Murmu at the Defence Investiture Ceremony at the Rashtrapati Bhavan. The recipients, all of the 1984 batch, were General Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Central Command, Lt Gen Anindya Sengupta; General Officer Commanding Madhya Bharat Area, ⁠Lt Gen Padam Singh Shekhawat and Director General Border Roads, Lt Gen Raghu Srinivasan.

The former English teacher of the three students at St. Xavier’s School, and now a PR professional, Jagdeep Singh said that he indeed feels honoured and privileged to have taught them. They have done all of us proud.  Their batchmate and well-known startup investor and event manager of the city, Mahavir Sharma said that they have brought laurels to their alma mater and the school alumni. Each one of them is an inspiration to us.
