The 79th Independence Day celebration at Umang

The 79th Independence Day celebration at Umang was a vibrant medley of music, dance, and drama, carrying a clear message of peace, harmony, and togetherness  comparing India to a garden where different flowers bloom side by side. The performances reflected the unity of people from various religions and ethnicities, highlighting the secular strength of the nation. The entire presentation was highly professional, especially considering that all participants were persons with special needs. They proved they are no less than anyone else, moving the audience with their resilience and undying will to demonstrate their abilities.

Present on the occasion were 280 students of Umang, along with parents, invited guests, and members of the Caring Hands by Pink  the sponsors of the program. Social worker and philanthropist Mr. Sudhir Mathur celebrated his birthday with the students, who adore him. The younger children presented him with a token of appreciation for the love, care, and support he has extended to them since Umang’s inception. Also present were Mr. Naveen Tripathi, CEO of Mercury Advertising, and his wife Smriti, who have contributed to Umang over the years free of cost, with total commitment and sincerity, on projects such as the website, marketing portal, posters, and more. Founder Director of Umang, Mrs. Deepak Kalra, expressed her heartfelt gratitude to everyone and appreciated the students and staff for their outstanding performance.
