Jaipur Police and Manipal University Jaipur Organize Exclusive Self-Defence & Awareness Training for Girl Students

Jaipur Police, in collaboration with Manipal University Jaipur, organized a special Self-Defence and Awareness Training program for girl students under the banner “ SHASHAKT NAARI JIMMEDAARI HUMAARI”. The initiative aimed at equipping young women with self-defence techniques, spreading awareness about crimes against women, and sharing knowledge of legal provisions related to women’s safety.

The event witnessed the gracious presence of Shri Biju George Joseph, Commissioner of Police, Jaipur, as the Chief Guest. He was accompanied by Shri Hanuman Prasad, DCP West, Jaipur; Ms. Suneeta Meena, Additional DCP, Jaipur; and Shri Moti Lal Sharma, SHO, Bagru.

Welcoming the dignitaries, Prof. Karunakar A Kotegar, Pro-President, Manipal University Jaipur, emphasized the importance of women empowerment and motivated students to become self-reliant and strong. In his keynote address, Commissioner of Police Shri Biju George Joseph highlighted the role of every individual in ensuring women’s empowerment and safety. He shared that crimes in Jaipur have significantly decreased in the past two years and assured that any crime against women will be dealt with firmly.

Ms. Suneeta Meena, Additional DCP, Jaipur, along with her team, conducted a live demonstration of self-defence techniques for the girl students. She inspired them through motivational anecdotes and also engaged the audience in an interactive session demonstrating the use of the RajCop Mobile Application with the help of student volunteers.
The program saw enthusiastic participation of more than 500 girl students of Manipal University Jaipur. To spread awareness in a creative manner, MUJ students also presented a thought-provoking street play on women’s safety.

On this occasion, Commissioner of Police Shri Biju George Joseph and his team also had a courtesy meeting with Prof. N. N. Sharma, President, Manipal University Jaipur, where discussions were held on ensuring a safe campus and strengthening student safety measures. Prof. Sharma assured full cooperation with Jaipur Police in empowering girl students and contributing to the larger cause of social well-being.

The program concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Prof. Monika Sogani on behalf of MUJ.

This meaningful initiative, marked by strong participation of young women, is expected to boost their confidence, make them self-reliant, and inspire collective efforts towards creating a safer society for women.
