3 DAY STATE LEVEL CONFERENCE “RAJPULMOCON 2025” CONCLUDES IN JAIPUR

Under the joint aegis of the Rajasthan State Chapter of the Indian Chest Society (ICS) and NCCP (I), the Department of Pulmonary Medicine of Santokba Durlabhji Memorial Hospital (SDMH) recently organized the three-day state-level symposium “Rajpulmocon 2025” in Jaipur. More than 400 pulmonologists and physicians from across the country and state participated in this conference.

At the inaugural ceremony, the Deputy CM of Rajasthan, Mr. Prem Chand Bairwa attended as the Chief Guest, while Trustee of SDMH, Ms. Nirmala Durlabhji, graced the occasion as the Guest of Honour. On this occasion, they highlighted the rapid increase in respiratory diseases due to pollution and changing lifestyles. They emphasized that such conferences provide doctors with updated knowledge and research insights, helping ensure better treatment for the public.

Secretary of SD Trust, Mr. Yogendra Durlabhji, said that this Continuing Medical Education (CME) is extremely important for society, as the knowledge shared here will give new direction to future healthcare services.

Organizing Chairman, Dr. M.L. Gupta and Organizing Secretary, Dr. Sanjay Sogani informed that the conference commenced with an Interventional Pulmonology Workshop at the SDMH Auditorium, where participants were trained in modern lung diagnostic methods and procedures. More than 100 participants took part in this workshop.

Over the 3 days, scientific sessions were held at the Rajasthan International Centre (RIC), Jaipur. Experts from across the country delivered lectures on topics such as Asthma, COPD, ILD, Tuberculosis, Lung Cancer, Pulmonary Hypertension, and Lung Transplantation. In the Dr. S.N. Gaur oration, air pollution was identified as the biggest threat, while the Dr. T.N. Sharma oration focused on Pleural Diseases.

The symposium also featured research paper presentations, an e-poster competition and a quiz.
