KEYA AGARWAL BADHALIA’S NEW BOOK ‘LUXURY UNCUT’ PRESENTS A FRESH VISION ON GEMS

The new book ‘Luxury Uncut: How Technology Is Rewriting the Value of Gems’ by Jaipur-based young entrepreneur Keya Agarwal Badhalia was launched on Monday during the ‘Uncut Segment’ of the ongoing Jaipur Jewellery Show (JJS) at the Jaipur Exhibition and Convention Centre (JECC). The book launch took place at the Rashmikant Durlabhji Auditorium at JECC, in the presence of JJS Honorary Secretary, Mr Rajiv Jain, JJS Vice Chairman, Mr Dinesh Khatoria, JJS Joint Secretary, Mr Ajay Kala, along with other members of the JJS Organising Committee. Speaking on the occasion, Keya said, “Launching my first book at Jaipur Jewellery Show, one of the leading platforms of the gems and jewellery industry, is a matter of great pride for me. This book is an adapted version of my academic thesis developed during my time abroad. It not only explores the history and heritage of gemstones but also analyses their future in a rapidly evolving technological landscape. For this book, I have relied on old auction records, expert interviews, and gemmology research reports. These have helped bring to light the key factors that influence the value of a stone in today’s changing luxury market.”
On this occasion, JJS Honorary Secretary, Mr Rajiv Jain expressed his appreciation and said, “Keya’s book is a significant contribution to the gems and jewellery industry. Platforms like JJS must encourage more young professionals, as the new generation works in a far more modern and advanced manner. Research-based books like this will help strengthen consumer trust in gems and jewellery in the years to come.”
The book ‘Luxury Uncut’ presents a new perspective on the changing valuation and significance of gemstones. Drawing from her family jewellery business ‘Adbhut Jewels’ and her global educational experiences, Keya has created a unique blend of knowledge and research in this publication.
