The ‘Mahakumbh’ of Gems & Jewellery ‘Jaipur Jewellery Show’ to conclude with 16,000 VISITORS

The third day of the Jaipur Jewellery Show (JJS), currently underway at the Jaipur Exhibition and Convention Centre (JECC), witnessed a record-breaking footfall on Sunday. Owing to the weekend holiday and the onset of the festive season, over 16,000 visitors attended the show. The record attendance generated great enthusiasm among jewellers and exhibitors participating in the event. According to traders, this year’s JJS has been more successful and commercially profitable compared to other jewellery shows.

JJS Honorary Secretary, Mr. Rajiv Jain stated that this year, the theme of JJS is also focused on coloured gemstones. For this purpose, a dedicated section for gemstones has been created in Hall No. 2 at the venue, which is providing jewellers greater ease in interacting with customers and conducting business activities. During the show, a noticeable increase in interest towards coloured gemstones has been recorded. Meanwhile, with the onset of the wedding season, considerable interest was also seen among customers in bridal jewellery.

According to JJS Honorary Secretary Mr Rajiv Jain, the theme of JJS this year is also centred on coloured gemstones. A dedicated gemstone section has been created in Hall No. 2 at the venue, facilitating better interaction between jewellers and customers and enabling smoother business engagement. Shows that offer such a vast, well-organised and aesthetically curated space for grand jewellery displays are rare, giving JJS a distinct identity among India’s leading jewellery events. Traders are expecting strong business activity with customers on the final day of the show.

JJS Joint Secretary and Spokesperson, Mr Ajay Kala stated that due to the rising gold prices this year, customers at the show are showing a preference for lower-carat gold jewellery with broader designs, while in coloured gemstones, a noticeable inclination towards natural stones has been observed.

Networking Dinner to Strengthen Trade and Industry Connections

JJS Vice Chairman, Mr Dinesh Khatoria stated that a networking dinner was organised on the evening of the second day of the Jaipur Jewellery Show at the InterContinental Hotel. A live music performance by popular Bollywood singer and actor Paresh Pahuja added vibrancy to the evening. The dinner provided leading jewellers, exhibitors and designers from the gems and jewellery industry with an opportunity to strengthen business relationships, explore new partnerships, and discuss emerging industry trends.

On this occasion, JJS 2025 Brand Ambassador and Miss Universe India 2023, Ms Shweta Sharda, felicitated 12 members of the Coloured Gemstone Promotion Group with trophies. Notably, this promotion group was formed specifically to promote JJS’s theme for the year — Coloured Gemstones.

‘Uncut’ Unfiltered Dialogues Segment

In the session ‘Inside Two Journeys by Rajiv Jain’, Secretary, JJS, Mr. Rajiv Jain was in candid conversation with legendary jeweller Mr. Kushal Chand Surana of Bhuramal Rajmal Surana and Founder, CaratLane, Mr. Mithun Sacheti. The discussion explored the personal choices, risks, and relationships that shaped their respective entrepreneurial journeys, unfolding as an honest dialogue on scaling ambition without losing one’s core values.

Sharing insights from decades of experience, Mr. Kushal Chand Surana emphasised that honesty, truthfulness, and loyalty form the foundation of lasting success. He noted that prioritising the customer invariably leads to long-term trust and goodwill, stating that when you look after the customer, they look after you in return. He also mentioned the impact of the Gold Control Act on Kundan–Meena jewellery.

Speaking on the trend of online jewellery shopping, Mr. Surana observed that customers still seek confidence and reassurance through physical experience. He highlighted the importance of seeing the jewellery in person and trusting the jeweller behind it. Echoing this sentiment, Mr. Mithun Sacheti added that online platforms primarily help in building desire and aspiration, while actual sales largely happen in stores, as jewellery carries a strong tactile and emotional element that requires touch and feel.
