
Jaipur : Lok Sabha Speaker Shri Om Birla attended a ‘Meet and Greet’ event organised by Rajasthan Forum at ITC Sonar in Kolkata. On this occasion, Shri Om Birla was felicitated by Rajasthan Forum. Addressing the gathering, the Lok Sabha Speaker said, “Wherever Indians have gone across the world, they have never forgotten their motherland, culture, and values. Similarly, the Rajasthani diaspora, through their spirit of service, dedication, hard work and sacrifice, has preserved their cultural identity wherever they have worked. He further stated that people from Rajasthan have always established a distinct identity in the fields of trade and industry through integrity, ethical values, and hard work, and will continue to carry forward this legacy in the future.”
While appreciating the work of Rajasthan Forum, Shri Birla also commended the cultural contributions of the Forum’s founder and noted culturist, Shri Sundeep Bhutoria.
The ceremony commenced with noted industrialist and Co-Chairman, Rajasthan Forum, Shri H. M. Bangur felicitating the Lok Sabha Speaker by presenting him with a traditional shawl. This was followed by Forum’s founder, culturist and author, Shri Sundeep Bhutoria, presenting a copy of Gurudev Rabindranath Tagore’s timeless work ‘Gitanjali’ to Lok Sabha Speaker as a token of respect. The event witnessed the presence of a large number of distinguished guests from industry, trade, social service, culture and various social organisations.
