Jaipur, 4 May: To celebrate art, culture and creativity, the FICCI Ladies Organisation (FlO) Jaipur Chapter has organized Jaipur Art Fair, with the theme, ‘Rang De Jaipur’. The 2-day event, which began today at Rajasthan International Center (RIC), was inaugurated by Maharaj Kumar Dr Lakshyaraj Singh of Mewar who was the Chief Guest. On the occasion, FICCI Ladies Organization Jaipur Chapter, Chairperson, Raghushree Poddar moderated an engaging conversation with Dr Lakshyaraj Singh of Mewar on the topic: ‘Preservation of heritage Art and Culture of Udaipur’ along with an interactive discussion on ‘Legacy and Dynasty of Great King- Maharana Pratap’.
During his address, Dr. Lakshyaraj Singh of Mewar, an esteemed 8-time Guinness World Record Holder, reflected on his family’s tireless commitment to preserving heritage, art, and culture. Despite his noble lineage and being a descendant of luminaries like Maharana Sanga, Maharana Pratap and Bappa Rawal, he humbly rejected the label of ‘royalty,’ earning enthusiastic applause from the audience.
Throwing light on his life philosophy, he said that it is important to not just go through but grow through life. In life, what matters is not the journey or destination but rather the people with you along the journey as well as when you reach the destination, he added.
The Chief Guest later went around the Jaipur Art Fair which is showcasing the vibrant heritage and culture of Rajasthan while providing a platform for talented artists to exhibit their creativity. He hugely appreciated the initiative of the Chairperson 2024-25 FICCI FLO Jaipur and Director of Cheer Sagar Exports, Raghushree Poddar in organizing this fair to empower artisans and celebrate their talents.
On the occasion, Raghushree Poddar said that the objective of the art fair is to nurture artisans, amplify their voices, and showcase the brilliance of their craft. After having worked in the field of arts and crafts for 18 years as an exporter, I motivate the younger generation to take up their family businesses and give a boost to the culture of Rajasthan.
