Jaipur, 16 December: The 5-day long Smart India Hackathon (SIH) 2024 at Manipal University Jaipur concluded with remarkable success, showcasing the immense talent of student innovators who demonstrated their remarkable ability to tackle real-world problems. The event, held from 11th to 15th December 2024, brought together participants from across India to develop working prototypes and solutions addressing industry and societal challenges. The hackathon, with a strong focus on hardware innovation, was aligned with honorable Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision for a Digital India and received valuable support from the Ministry of Education (MoE) and AICTE.
On the final day, esteemed President of Manipal University Jaipur (MUJ), Prof. Niti Nipun Sharma interacted with the participants and posed for a photo session to celebrate the brilliant ideas showcased. He praised the teams for their efforts in developing solutions with the potential to shape the future of various industries. During the event dignitaries, Pro-President Prof. Karunakar A. Kotegar, Registrar Dr. Nitu Bhatnagar, and Dr. Dinesh Kumar Saini, Director of the E-Cell at MUJ, also interacted with the participants to encourage them to create impactful solutions.
Throughout the event, the teams worked diligently to address challenging hardware problem statements, presenting solutions that demonstrated exceptional creativity, technical expertise, and a deep understanding of the issues at hand. A total of 26 teams nationwide participated and was supported by 26 mentors and evaluation done by 18 jury members. The final round of evaluation was done at 3PM onwards in which participants were allowed to showcase their solutions. The closing ceremony honored the winning team with a cash prize of one lakh rupees.

Team Hexadecimal (Veermata Jijabai Technological Institute Matunga, Mumbai), solved the problem for Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, Team Electrovision (G.L.A University, Mathura), solved the problem for Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Team Traceroute_24 (Sri Venkateswara College of Engineering, Kanchipuram), solved the problem for Ministry of Culture, Team TDS (Indraprastha Institute of Information Technology, Delhi), solved the problem for Ministry of Communication and Team Mitigators (Sri Krishna College of Engineering and Technology, Coimbatore) solved problem for Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship.
