
The Palace School organised its annual Walk4Dyslexia in Jaipur to mark Dyslexia Awareness Month, observed globally every October. The initiative aimed to raise awareness about dyslexia and promote early identification and inclusive educational practices for children with learning differences. This year’s event witnessed enthusiastic participation from over 200 students and educators representing several institutions, including Maharaja Sawai Bhawani Singh School, Sanskar School, Dharav High School (Ajmer Road and Vidhyadhar Nagar branches), Ryan International School (Mansarovar), Bunny Steps Child Development Center, Babylon Hospital, Jeypore School, Rotary Club, and Mahatma Gandhi Occupational Therapy College.
The Chief Guest for the event was Princess Gauravi Kumari, who flagged off the walk from Virendra Pol at The City Palace and joined participants throughout the march until its conclusion at The Palace School. Her presence lent encouragement and inspiration to the young participants. Distinguished guests included Dr. Dhananjay Mangal, Director and Senior Consultant Pediatrician and Neonatologist at Babylon Hospital, Chairman of the Newton Institute of Child and Adolescent Development. The President of the Indian Academy of Pediatrics (Jaipur), along with Prof. (Dr.) Prakash Kumar, Professor and Principal of Mahatma Gandhi Occupational Therapy College, MGUMST, Jaipur.
Both shared valuable insights into the nature of dyslexia, emphasizing the importance of early detection and supportive environments for affected children. As part of the awareness program, students expressed their thoughts through creative drawings and participated in a quiz designed to deepen understanding of dyslexia and its challenges. The event was marked by enthusiastic chants and slogans promoting awareness and inclusion. The Walk4Dyslexia 2025 was a resounding success, reinforcing The Palace School’s commitment to building a more understanding and inclusive society where every child has the opportunity to thrive.
