From Stage to Camera – Anup Soni’s Masterclass at the 12th Rajasthan International Film Festival

The theme of RIFF 2026 is “Cinemasthan – Your Lens, Our Rajasthan.” This edition will also mark over a decade of RIFF’s successful journey in promoting cinema in Rajasthan.
Somendra Harsh, Founder of the Rajasthan International Film Festival (RIFF), announced that actor and television anchor Anup Soni will be honored this year with the RIFF 2026 Honorary Award of Excellence for Contribution to Indian Cinema and Television. Anup Soni will be attending the festival, and on this occasion, he will conduct a special masterclass on 4 February at Miraj Cinemas, Blue City Mall. The session will focus on developing confidence, strengthening on-camera presence, and understanding the nuances of acting across different mediums. Designed for actors, theatre artists, and cinema enthusiasts, the masterclass will offer practical insights and actionable learnings drawn from years of professional experience.
Anup Soni is a renowned Indian actor and television anchor, widely respected for his powerful screen presence and versatility. Over a long and distinguished career spanning theatre, television, and cinema, he has portrayed numerous strong and memorable characters. His notable films include Gangaajal and Fiza. On television, he is especially recognized as the host of the popular crime show Crime Patrol, and is also remembered for his roles in serials such as Balika Vadhu and Sea Hawks. Known for his calm yet impactful persona and emotional depth, Anup Soni continues to inspire both audiences and emerging artists. With years of experience across theatre, television, and cinema, he shares practical understanding of acting, preparation, and authenticity in front of the camera.
