INTACH’S HERITAGE EDUCATION AND COMMUNICATION SERVICE AND CULTURAL AWARENESS WORKSHOP ORGANISED

Intach Jaipur Chapter and HECS Division of Intach, New Delhi, organised a Teacher’s Training Workshop at Sanskar School, Jaipur, in collaboration with NCERT. This workshop was organised keeping in mind the fact that the heritage of our country needs all the care and love from its young students.  Teachers from around 40 schools participated in the Two-day Teacher Training Workshop as per the National Curriculum Framework for school education 2023 and based on the newly developed textbooks by NCERT.

The workshop offered ideas, suggestions and exercises for teachers to engage with their students based on the national curriculum framework covering topics associated with Indian culture, with a focus on crafts and performing arts. Ms. Madhu Bhatt Telang, the well-known Dhrupad singer, shared the finer points of Dhrupad, and Ms Leela Bordia of Neerja Blue Pottery shared her experiences in setting up her blue pottery unit and the importance of keeping the craft alive. Ms. Purnima Datt of the HECS division attended the workshop and Ms. Dharmendar Kanwar, Convenor, INTACH Jaipur Chapter and Co-Convenor Rajasthan Chapter of INTACH was also present.
