
New Delhi : The Public Relations Council of India (PRCI), with the support of the Public Relations Society Delhi (PRSD), proudly inaugurated the PRCI Transformative Governance Symposium 2026 at the prestigious India Habitat Centre, New Delhi.
The symposium was inaugurated by Hon’ble Shri Justice P. B. Bajanthri, Former Chief Justice of the High Court of Judicature at Patna, in the gracious presence of B. V. Vittal, Executive Director (HR), National Fertilisers Limited; M. B. Jayaram, Chairman Emeritus & Chief Mentor, PRCI; Dr. T. Vinayakumar, Chairman, Governing Council, PRCI; Geetha Shankar, National President, PRCI; AKS Dr. K. Srinivasan, Director, Governing Council; S. Narendra, Former Chief of the Press Information Bureau (PIB); Venkat Narayanan, Former Editor, India Today; G. S. Bawa, Chairman, Public Relations Society Delhi (PRSD); Ajay Singh, Director (North East), PRCI; Shivani Malik, Chairperson, PRCI Delhi Chapter; Somendra Harsh, Chairman, PRCI Jaipur Chapter; along with several distinguished leaders from government, industry, academia, and the communications fraternity.
The symposium brought together eminent thought leaders, policymakers, communication professionals, corporate executives, academicians, and governance experts to deliberate on the theme of “Transformative Governance” and its growing relevance in shaping a transparent, accountable, and citizen-centric future.
The inaugural session highlighted the critical role of visionary leadership, ethical governance, transparency, innovation, and strategic communication in strengthening democratic institutions and accelerating national development. Speakers emphasized that in today’s rapidly evolving digital landscape, effective public communication has become an indispensable pillar of good governance, fostering trust, stakeholder engagement, and informed public participation.
