NSDL launches 3 products at the hands of SEBI Chairperson during the

Mumbai, 16th August 2024: India’s first depository, National Securities Depository Limited (NSDL) relocated its Corporate Office to new premises at Naman Chambers, BKC, Mumbai.  The new office was inaugurated by SEBI Chairperson, Smt. Madhabi Puri Buch on August 14, 2024. The event was attended by Shri Ashwani Bhatia, Shri Kamlesh Varshney, Whole Time Members SEBI, Shri Rakesh Sharma MD & CEO, IDBI Bank, Shri Ashish Chauhan, MD&CEO, NSE, and other leaders from the capital markets.

On this occasion, NSDL launched three new initiatives viz. Periodic Due Diligence on DeLiTe, the Blockchain platform for Security & Covenant Monitoring of Corporate Bonds, Tax Services on STeADY, its STP platform and A Cube Aggregation of Accounts of Alternative Investment Funds.

Speaking on the occasion, Smt. Madhabi Puri Buchappreciated the design and aesthetics of the premises. She also commended NSDL on their initiatives in business, technology and investor awareness. She spoke of the need for close collaboration among the MIIs in building the eco-system of the capital markets. She emphasized on the role of the depositories as first line regulators.

Shri Parveen Kumar Gupta, Chairman, NSDLBoard spoke about the growth of the Indian Capital markets under guidance of SEBI. India today is globally recognized as an economy that has a number of firsts to its credit, he said.”

Smt. Padmaja Chunduru, NSDL MD & CEOthanked the SEBI Chairperson for the support and guidance to NSDL. She felicitated NSDL’s founding institutions IDBI, NSE and SUUTI. She thanked all the Depository Participants, RTAs, Custodians and all dignitaries from the capital markets for their support.
