RIFF Film Club Hosts Special Screening of “Shadows of Light” in Jaipur
Jaipur, RIFF Film Club organised a special screening of Shadows of Light in Jaipur. Directed by Shamaz Nawab Siddiqui, the film explores sensitive themes of identity, struggle, resilience, silence, and the search for inner light. The film has also been showcased at the Marché du Film – Festival de Cannes.
The screening was held at SRNG Auditorium, Lal Kothi, Jaipur, and witnessed participation from cinema enthusiasts from Jaipur as well as different parts of the region. Audiences across various age groups watched the film and shared their responses to its themes and cinematic presentation.
Through its narrative and visual storytelling, Shadows of Light brings forward themes of identity, personal struggles, and the search for one’s voice amid challenging circumstances. The screening aimed to provide audiences not only with an engaging cinematic experience but also an opportunity to connect with cinema that encourages reflection on social and human experiences.
Somendra Harsh, Founder of RIFF Film Club, said that the objective of the club is to bring diverse and meaningful cinema from around the world to audiences in Jaipur. He added that, along with film screenings, fostering dialogue, discussions, and a deeper understanding of cinema among audiences remains one of the key priorities of RIFF Film Club.
The screening of Shadows of Light was part of RIFF Film Club’s ongoing initiative to create an active audience community for world cinema and independent films in Jaipur, while providing cinephiles with opportunities to experience diverse stories and engage with meaningful cinematic works.
