

Vivekananda Global University and Public Relations Council of India signed a significant Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to promote academic and professional collaboration in the fields of journalism, public relations, corporate communication, and media education. The MoU aims to provide students, researchers, and faculty members with industry-oriented training, research opportunities, internships, and practical exposure.
The event witnessed the gracious presence of senior representatives from both the university and PRCI. Present on the occasion were Prof. (Dr.) N.D. Mathur, Vice Chancellor of the university and Prof. D.V.S. Bhagavannulu, Pro Vice Chancellor & Dr. Dheeraj Singh, Director of the Training and Placement Cell; and Deepak Prasad, Head of the Department of Journalism and Mass Communication. Representing PRCI Jaipur Chapter was President Mr. Somendra Harsh and Secretary Mr. Sunny Kulshreshtha, Joint Secretary Dr. Rahul Babu Kodali, along with other office bearers.
Faculty members from the Department of Journalism and Mass Communication, including Dr. Sachin Pratap Singh, Mrs. Rama Choudhary, Dr. Vikas Kumar and Falguni Sharma along with several academicians and members associated with the university and PRCI, also participated in the programme. Under the MoU, both institutions will jointly organize seminars, workshops, conferences, interaction sessions with industry experts, guest lectures, research activities, and skill development programmes. Students will also receive opportunities for internships and professional training in the fields of public relations, advertising, and corporate communication.
The university administration stated that the media and public relations industry is undergoing rapid transformation, making it essential for students to gain not only theoretical knowledge but also practical understanding of industry operations. This collaboration will provide students with hands-on experience and help connect them with new career and employment opportunities. PRCI representatives described the initiative as an important step toward strengthening media education and professional networking. They emphasized that such collaborations would help young students understand emerging national and international trends in communication and public relations.
Through this MoU, both institutions will also work on joint research projects, publications, media campaigns, and public awareness programmes related to social concerns. In addition, students will get opportunities to interact with industry experts and work on live projects, which will contribute to the development of their professional skills and leadership abilities. At the conclusion of the programme, all dignitaries described the partnership as a significant initiative toward building stronger coordination between academia and industry and expressed their commitment to expanding this collaboration further in the future.
